Sterling Heights, Mich. — September 1, 2026 — Merrifield Machinery Solutions (MMS) is expanding its presence in West Michigan as the authorized distributor for Hurco Companies, Inc., bringing Hurco CNC machine tools, technology, applications expertise, and expanded local service support to manufacturers throughout the region.

The expansion strengthens Merrifield Machinery’s ability to support Hurco customers throughout West Michigan with a larger team of sales, applications, and service professionals, along with a new West Michigan facility featuring a customer showroom and space to demonstrate machine tool technology.

Most importantly, manufacturers will have access to a team with extensive knowledge of the West Michigan manufacturing community and the Hurco products and technologies they rely on.

A Stronger Hurco Presence in West Michigan

Merrifield Machinery will support more than 1,500 existing Hurco and Takumi machine installations throughout West Michigan, providing customers with expanded access to service, parts, applications support, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical expertise.

The expanded West Michigan operation will also serve as a regional resource for manufacturers evaluating new CNC equipment, developing applications, or looking for ways to improve productivity and machine utilization.

Merrifield Machinery’s service-first philosophy extends throughout the entire machine lifecycle—from helping customers select the right technology and configuration to installation, training, applications support, service, and long-term maintenance.

The showroom will feature Hurco equipment as well as additional machine tool technologies represented by Merrifield Machinery, creating a broader resource for West Michigan manufacturers.

The location will give customers the opportunity to see equipment, discuss applications, review manufacturing challenges, and explore potential solutions without having to travel outside the region.
